Recognizing Mold

Recognizing Mould

You may recognize mold by:
Sight: (Are the walls and ceiling discolored, or do they show signs of mold growth or water damage?)
Smell: (Do you smell a bad odor, such as a musty, earthy smell or a foul stench?)

Did you know?

Good news is that there are ways to deal with problems and improve the quality of the air that you and your family breathes.

"Niagara Indoor Air Quality" conducts  IAQ investigations of residential  properties  to determine if there are indoor air problems and to identify the sources and solutions.

You should schedule an investigation with Niagara Indoor Air Quality if:
1) Someone in the family is sick or has allergies,  asthma attacks, chronic cold symptoms etc.  You want to ensure the house is not contributing to health problems.
2)You suspect symptoms linked to the home. You may feel better when you are away from your house. Or, you associate the onset of symptoms with a specific  area  or event, such as moving to the house, or a renovation. Friends or family may also experience symptoms while visiting.
3) There may be an odor in the house that can't be explained or removed.
4) You suspect a problem but you don't know what to do. There may have been a history of fire, flooding or roof leaks.
5) You see mold , but it keeps coming back after cleaning.
6) You are about to renovate. Making sure the air quality is improved is a very good idea.

An  investigation by Niagara Indoor Air Quality  involves:

In some cases air sampling and testing might be advised.  Niagara Indoor Air Quality  technicians are certified and equipped to provide testing and sampling for moulds, radon and carbon monoxide.
